‘Bluey Book Reads’ Launches with Celebrity Guests

New show features celebrities reading “Bluey” stories on Bluey YouTube channel.

BBC Studios Social, BBC Studios Kids & Family and Ludo Studio have announced the launch of “Bluey Book Reads” on the official Bluey YouTube channel. Hosted by celebrity storytellers, “Bluey Book Reads” brings the publishing arm of the globally viewed animated series to audiences in a new way. Commissioned by BBC Studios Social, part of BBC Studios’ Brands and Licensing division, “Bluey Book Reads” is BBC Studios Social’s first piece of standalone content for “Bluey.”   

“It is a true privilege to work with the joyous brand that is Bluey,” says Jasmine Dawson, senior vice president, digital, BBC Studios. “She has captured hearts of all ages across the globe and in extending her story we have put that audience at the heart of everything. I am extremely proud of this original commission, and it is a true ‘for real life’ moment.”   

Launching on Bluey’s official YouTube channel – which has 5.7 billion lifetime views – the first episode features “Mini Bluey” read by Kylie and Dannii Minogue. Celebrities on the roster include Bindi Irwin, Tom Daley, Romesh Ranganathan, Suranne Jones, Jenna Fischer, Eva Mendes, Jordan Fisher, Camille Cottin and Rob Delaney.   

All “Bluey” stories featured in “Bluey Book Reads” are published by BBC Studios’ licensee, Penguin Random House, via imprints, Ladybird in the U.K., Penguin Young Readers in the U.S. and Puffin Books in Australia.
