BBC Signs First ‘Hey Duggee’ Partners

BBC Worldwide has named Golden Bear as the master toy licensee for the upcoming new CBeebies show, “Hey Duggee.”

Additionally, Penguin Books will develop a publishing program for the new series.

Set to air on CBeebies in early 2015, “Hey Duggee” will center on a children’s playgroup called The Squirrel Club where kids have adventures and earn badges for their accomplishments. 

“Our agreement with Golden Bear follows hugely successful launches of Something Special and CBeebies product,” says Clare Piggott, head of merchandising, BBC Worldwide U.K. “‘Hey Duggee’ offers a treasure trove of adventures, and we are very excited to begin the creation of some fantastic new toys to help take young fans enjoyment of the show even further."
