Xcel Brands CEO Joins NYC Summit

Robert D'Loren, chairman and CEO of the brand management company Xcel Brands, has joined the speaker lineup of the 2017 NYC Summit, taking place in Manhattan March 2-3.

Robert D'Loren will speak on the world of fashion licensing at the annual networking conference.

Robert D'Loren, chairman and CEO of brand management company Xcel Brands, has joined the speaker lineup of the 2017 NYC Summit, taking place in New York on March 2-3.  He will offer insight into current trends and opportunities in the world of fashion licensing.

Xcel Brands generates approximately $500 million in retail sales annually across its brand portfolio, which includes fashion heavyweights such as Isaac Mizrahi, Judith Ripka and H Halston, among others.

D’Loren has been an entrepreneur, innovator and pioneer of the consumer branded products and media and entertainment industries for the past 35 years. Since Xcel Brands' founding in 2011, D’Loren has spearheaded its unique channel strategy, connecting e-commerce, TV, brick-and-mortar and social media to re-imagine shopping, entertainment and social as one. He also serves as chairman of IPX Capital and related subsidiaries, a consumer products investment company.

A second addition to the speaker lineup was also announced: Eric Beder, managing director of equity research at Wunderlich Securities, will reprise his 2016 session "The Wall Street Viewpoint" where he will analyze the current marketplace and discuss why brands are critical to retailers and consumers. Beder's session was rated as one of the most informative by attendees at the 2016 NYC Summit.

Other executives already confirmed to speak at the 2017 event include:

  • Perry Wolfman, chief executive office, CAA–GBG, the world’s largest licensing agency.

  • Ken Wyse, president of global licensing and PR at PVH Corp., the world's third largest licensor and owner of brands such as Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.

  • Amy Kule, executive producer, parade and fireworks, and group vice president annual events and partnership marketing, Macy’s.

  • Lisa Silverman Meyers, senior vice president, operations and business planning, Nickelodeon Viacom Consumer Products.

Registration is now open for the 2017 NYC Summit, which will take place March 2-3 at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square.
