ABG Appoints President, EMEA

Former Apex Global Brands chief executive officer to drive growth in EMEA.

Authentic Brands Group has announced that Henry Stupp has joined the company as president, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

As president, EMEA, Stupp will spearhead ABG’s brand and business expansion across EMEA and India. Stupp will be located in London, where he will open and oversee a new ABG office and recruit dedicated regional teams.

“Henry is an experienced and successful leader who brings valuable insight to ABG,” says Jarrod Weber, group president, lifestyle, chief brand officer, Authentic Brands Group. “His proven track record in connecting licensed brands with best-in-class partners and driving distribution are important attributes that we believe will fuel ABG’s continued commitment to brand growth in the region.”

Stupp brings 30 years of leadership experience to ABG in the licensing and brand marketing industries. He most recently served as chief executive officer, Apex Global Brands (formerly Cherokee Global Brands). During his decade-long tenure with Apex, in addition

to providing M&A oversight, Stupp introduced many licenses and brands to a broad, global retail and wholesale audience. Before joining Cherokee, Stupp served as co-founder of NTD Apparel, a licensee of entertainment, character, sports and branded apparel, and clothing and accessories to major North American retailers. A qualified NYSE and NASDAQ financial expert, Stupp also served on the board of directors of Apex Global Brands.

ABG veteran Taylor Morono, now interim senior vice president, EMEA, will join Stupp in this endeavor to develop ABG’s London office and the expansion of its brands in the region. Together, Stupp and Morono bring a wealth of knowledge in brand development, marketing and licensing, and will focus on accelerating organic growth for ABG’s brands and driving new business across EMEA and India.
