Tiger Aspect Productions (an Endemol Shine Company) has appointed Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific as the exclusive licensing agent for Mr. Bean in Asia.

Turner Asia Pacific’s licensing division, Cartoon Network Enterprises, will work to drive licensing activity for the brand over the next three years in key markets in Southeast Asia and India.

The appointment comes at an advantageous time for the brand, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The second installment of "The Mr. Bean Animated Series" will also debut in Asia Pacific in April on Turner’s kids’ channels including Boomerang in Southeast Asia and Australia, Cartoon Network in Japan and POGO in India.

“It is extremely exciting to be representing a brand with such a powerful presence in Asia," says Melissa Tinker, vice president, Cartoon Network Enterprises Asia Pacific. "For a quarter of a century, audiences have been chuckling along to the antics of Mr. Bean and his famous teddy, and Rowan Atkinson’s unique creation has become a genuine global brand. It’s a perfect complement to our already strong portfolio.”
