Sanrio's Hummingmint Heads to Japan

New character inspires pop-up cafés in Copenhagen and Setagaya.

Following the opening of the temporary Hummingmint Café in Copenhagen, Denmark, which features the newly created fawn character Hummingmint, Sanrio is sending the concept to Japan.

The pop-up Hummingmint Café was open from Aug. 7-21 in Copenhagen's LaUNDROMAT café and featured a kid-friendly restaurant experience with a décor centered on the Scandinavian-inspired character. The highlight of the menu was Hummingmint pancakes.

Now Sanrio is bringing the café to Japan where it will open at La Maison Ensoleille in Setagaya in mid-September.
