Peanuts Worldwide has partnered with DDM Entertainment & Events to produce a series of Chinese lantern festivals featuring the brand’s popular characters.

Plans for the first themed festival are still in negotioat

Under the terms of the agreement, DDM–in partnership with its design/manufacturing partner Zigong Lantern Culture Industry Group–will mount Peanuts-branded lantern festivals in a host of regions including the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, North America and Europe.

The first DDM Peanuts-themed lantern festival is currently in negotiation and further announcements are expected soon.

Lantern festivals use illuminated, custom silk lanterns

and floats, inspired by Chinese lanterns, in a variety of shapes and sizes. Such festivals can be held at a wide range of venues, including botanical gardens, theme parks and zoos.
