Nickelodeon Expands in Asia

Nickelodeon Consumer Products has signed a raft of new consumer products deals for SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer in the Asia Pacific territories.

In Japan, New SpongeBob SquarePants partners include Jun for apparel; Gourmandies for mobile phone covers and accessories; Mac Style for candies; Secret Base for a fashion line, licensed through Grace; Laundry for apparel, also licensed through Grace; and Seconds for digital cameras that include a built-in SpongeBob SquarePants photo frame.

In the Philippines, Chibuzo International Corporation will make soft rubber wristband SpongeBob and Dora Gummy watches for teens; Starkson Packaging Company will make SpongeBob SquarePants premiums for J&J and Mister Donut.

In Taiwan, Fuh Guann Plastics will make lanterns themed with SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Starfish characters; and Shin Dun Enterprise will produce pocketed cushions with a heating function and a USB connection for SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Starfish.

In Thailand, Great Profit Telecom is working on SpongeBob SquarePants mobile phone accessories including a mobile phone cases; Lee Rung Charoen will make bedding accessories; City Toys will make SpongeBob SquarePants toys; Fancy Art is signed to produce SpongeBob SquarePants adult apparel; Nation Egmont will make SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer books; Sien Hua Tai will make SpongeBob SquarePants umbrellas and raincoats for children and children’s socks; and Aera Sport will supply Dora the Explorer character footwear for children.
