Mercis Adds Miffy Apparel

Mercis has partnered with Kira Kids and Beanstalx Baby for two new lines of kids’ apparel featuring Dutch artist Dick Bruna’s classic character Miffy.

Classic character teams with Kira Kids, Beanstalx Baby for children’s apparel.

Big Tent Entertainment, the North American licensing agent for Miffy, brokered the deals.

First, Kira Kids will expand its current Kira Kids x Miffy collection with new t-shirts, dresses, skirts and pants for newborns through 8-year-olds. The collection will be available at retailers such as Barneys NY, specialty boutiques in the U.S. and Canada and online at KiraKids.com. The newborn collection will be available exclusively on KiraKids.com.

“Our success with the Kira Kids x Miffy collection is due in part to Miffy’s inherent style and design,” says Chrstine Tang, founder and creative director, Kira Kids. “We look forward to bringing forth these discernible design elements in our newest collection.”

Beanstalx Baby will launch a newborn collection that includes playsuits, gowns and bodysuits. It will also include fashion styles such as tunic sets,

sweaters and bubble rompers through its label.

Beanstalx Baby’s initial collection will launch at specialty retailers and fine department stores in the U.S. in January.
