Dunkin' Donuts will feature the classic character on three donuts.

Sanrio has tapped Dunkin' Donuts to launch the first Hello Kitty branded donuts in Germany.

Team! Licensing, Hello Kitty’s licensing agent, brokered the deal.

The classic character will now appear at Dunkin' Donuts with three different designs on several of the chain’s donut offerings. Furthermore, the collaboration has already been extended to the nationwide retailer Rewe, who is conducting a test with the branded products.

Additionally, Hello Kitty and Dunkin' Donuts will appear together at Museumsuferfest in Frankfurt, Germany, Aug. 26-28, with special activities, costume appearances and other activations to support the brand.

“We are very pleased that Hello Kitty continues to achieve top placements in current market studies,” says Daniela Cardoni, head, FMCG, domestics and promotions, Team! Licensing. “The cut license continues to be the No. 1 for girls from 4-9 and is also a top-hype brand for other target demographics. Based on this unbroken popularity, the promotional activity became a logical choice for Dunkin' Donuts. Hello Kitty not only appeals to kids, but also it’s fun for all adults with a sweet tooth.”

The Hello Kitty donuts are now available at select Dunkin' Donuts locations across Germany.
