Branded apparel range will celebrate vintage GM cars, logos.

General Motors has tapped Michigan-based lifestyle company The Mitten State to develop an exclusive line of t-shirts based on the company’s vintage performance cars.

The GM t-shirts will showcase 13 designs and will feature vintage vehicle logos from the 1950’s, ‘60s and ‘70s from GM brands including Buick, Camaro, Chevrolet, Corvette, Oldsmobile and Pontiac.

To promote the range, The Mitten State will give away the entire GM apparel line in a social media contest.

“General Motors approached us with the idea and of course we were thrilled to be a part of it,” says Will Bransdorfer, co-owner, The Mitten State. “Being fans of vintage muscle cars ourselves, and with Michigan’s historic connection to the automotive industry, we knew it would be a perfect fit. It’s been a fun history lesson working with GM to explore their logo and photo archives, some of which haven’t seen the light of day for decades.”

The GM apparel range is now available on TheMittenState.com as well as at the company’s retail store in Grand Rapids, Mich.
