Burger King restaurants and DHX Brands, a part of DHX Media, have launched a global promotion featuring DHX’s boys’ action property "Slugterra."
Burger King restaurants around the world are featuring "Slugterra" alongside MGA Entertainment's "Lalaloopsy" brand for girls in kids’ meals throughout May. Guests will have four different Slugterra toys to choose from and collect during the month.
“Burger King is so well recognized with extensive international reach, it is the perfect home for a highly collectible brand like 'Slugterra,'” says Peter Byrne, executive vice president, DHX Brands. “We are thrilled to be able to offer fans of 'Slugterra' the opportunity to add some great new toys to their collections.”
The “Slugterra” TV series was created by Vancouver-based animation studio Nerd Corps Entertainment, which was acquired by DHX Media at the end of 2014. The show will debut its third season this summer, and has already been greenlit for a fourth season.
