Sony Pictures Television – Kids (SPT – Kids), known for its portfolio of children’s properties, including “The Creature Cases,” “Octonauts: Above & Beyond,” “Super Kitties,” “Hilda” and the “Peter Rabbit” animated series, has announced it will unveil new developments across a roster of licensees and share plans for fresh content at Brand Licensing Europe, Oct. 4-6.

SPT – Kids is accelerating licensing plans for its animal detective series, “The Creature Cases,” following the announcement that toy manufacturer, PMI, has been appointed global master toy partner, with the brand’s first toy line poised to launch globally at retail from 2024. August’s issue of License Global, due out later this month, features an exclusive interview with Ron Allen, executive vice president, franchise and commercial, Sony Pictures Television – Kids, about licensing plans for “The Creature Cases” brand.

Season 3 of “The Creature Cases” landed on Netflix on May 22 and soon went into the top three kids’ shows in the U.S., the U.K., France and other key global markets. A partnership with streaming platform, Tencent Video, extended the show’s global broadcast footprint to China. With new live shows launching and a pipeline of new content currently in production and slated for release in 2024, SPT – Kids is seeking additional partnerships in categories, including apparel, homewares and back-to-school to bolster its growing CP program.

“Octonauts Above & Beyond” continues to deliver success across its consumer products program, spearheaded by master toy partner, Moose Toys, which has recently launched the new Gup K toy and will unveil new products for Q4 this year. Live events remain a key focus for the licensing program which has seen attractions and live events deliver growth, including a global partnership with Sea Life, Merlin Entertainment plus new activations yet to be announced.
