I.M.P.S. and Peyo Productions have appointed Bare Tree Media as global digital licensing and marketing partner for The Smurfs.

Bare Tree Media will design and digitally distribute The Smurfs mobile messaging stickers, themes and smartwatch faces within the company’s network of digital channel partners such as Apple iMessage, Google Play, Samsung, Facer and other mobile platforms starting in August. Bare Tree Media will also help drive marketing initiatives behind The Smurfs with the setup and management of The Smurfs channel on GIPHY and an augmented reality experience for Snapchat and Instagram.

“We are so smurfing excited to be partnering with the team at I.M.P.S. and Peyo Productions to bring The Smurfs fans around the world a mix of engaging digital content for their mobile messaging conversations and customization of their mobile phones and smart watches,” says Robert Ferrari, president, Bare Tree Media. “In addition, we will leverage our expertise at digital marketing to promote The Smurfs and all their products. This is also a very special partnership given our shared company values and mutual concern for the environment. In September, we plan to release sustainability-themed stickers and GIFs to inspire people to ‘Think Blue’ and promote the United Nations’ sustainability messaging.”

“We are very happy to team up with such a creative team as Bare Tree Media for our digital contents,” says Véronique Culliford, president, IMPS. “This new partnership will bring a lot of fun to the fans and contribute spreading the universal values and joyful spirit of The Smurfs.”
