The winner of the 2023 Kelvyn Gardner License This! competition has been announced at Brand Licensing Europe, along with three runners-up.

The competition aims to spotlight newcomers into the industry, inviting artists, illustrators, designers and creatives and helps them to break into the $300 billion global licensing market.

The many submissions were thoughtfully judged by a panel, made up of the License Global editorial team and several industry experts with Aniballers, an immersive world of football training, which unites families and young audiences in journey of education and play, being crowed the winner.

Aniballers was founded by daddy-daughter team, Matt and Veda Wilson and creatively merges football, storytelling, education and inclusivity.

“I am just very, very happy,” says Matt Wilson. “It’s been a family effort that came from a real genuine moment during the pandemic to get my daughter to like outdoor play, learn [about] football and have fun. We think that this brand IP can help inspire kids to be active and get some good habits that will last them a lifetime.”
