John Varvatos Apparel has signed a global licensing deal with Elizabeth Arden to develop men's and women's fragrances.
Shiseido Americas, John Varvatos' former fragrances and skincare licensee, will end its contract on June 30. The new scent line from Elizabeth Arden will include the John Varvatos Classic fragrance, which was launched in 2004, as well as the John Varvatos Vintage and Artisan fragrances. The three scents are available primarily in U.S. department stores and select international markets.
"This license provides us the opportunity to grow our market share of the men's fragrance market with an already existing and successful men's designer fragrance brand and leverage the growing awareness of the John Varvatos fashion line," says Ron Rolleston, executive vice president of global fragrance marketing at Elizabeth Arden.
