Weeplay Plans Mayumi Gumi Line

Danconia Studios has signed a long-term licensing agreement with children’s wear company Weeplay Kids for its Mayumi Gumi brand.

Weeplay will develop a full line of children's apparel that will feature items for infants, toddlers and girls, including layettes, playwear, knits, woven separates, multi-piece sets and activewear.

"Mayumi Gumi is an absolutely fresh brand with a colorful, inspired, youthful image that I see breaking out quickly in the U.S. and internationally," says Alan Maleh, chief executive officer, Weeplay. "We are very excited about this new agreement for Mayumi Gumi, and early feedback on the designs has been extremely positive."
