Strawberry Shortcake Hits McDonald's

Strawberry Shortcake McDonald's Happy Meals and Mighty Kids Meals are now available at McDonald's restaurants in North America, according to an agreement between CPLG, American Greetings Properties and McDonald's.

The meals, which contain one of six Strawberry Shortcake characters, will be available through July 28. In addition, each toy comes with an online code that unlocks a virtual accessory in McWorld at www.happymeal.com.

“As global licensing agency for Strawberry Shortcake, Cookie Jar is excited to continue its relationship with McDonald's, one of the world's top quick service restaurant, on our fifth Happy Meal promotion in North America since 2006," says Michael Berreth, head of marketing at Cookie Jar Entertainment, parent company of CPLG. “These premiums based on Strawberry Shortcake and her friends from Berry Bitty City will be a great lead-in to the franchise’s new character, Cherry Jam, who will make her first appearance this fall when the popular Strawberry Shortcake TV series, 'Berry Bitty Adventures,' returns to The Hub for its second season.”
