Someecards has signed Brand Sense Partners to expand the e-card brand into licensed products.

“We are thrilled to be working with someecards,” says Ramez Toubassy, president and chief executive officer, Brand Sense Partners. “I’ve been a personal fan of someecards for quite some time and laugh out loud almost daily at the unique, irreverent and topical humor that somecards consistently delivers. We see endless opportunities for brand extension, from traditional licensed products such as apparel, gifts and printed products, to long-term strategic partnerships with national retailers and promotional partners.”

Someedcards began expanding beyond e-cards into other forms of content such as lists, photos and tweet round-ups in 2010 and currently draws 5 million unique website visitors each month.

“We spent a lot of time searching for the right brand extension agency,” says Duncan Mitchell, co-founder, someecards. “We’ve always felt that the brand could live outside the e-card platform and we feel confident that BSP has the people, infrastructure and experience to bring the someecards humor to an entirely new marketplace.”
