Skechers Launches GOrun Brand

This line marks the first brand in Skechers' new lightweight performance products. Upcoming lines include GOtrain, shoes with lateral support for the gym; Skechers GOwalk; and a casual line called Skechers GOplay. The GOrun shoes feature a new mid-foot strike technology, a 4 mm heel drop, anti-microbial sock liner and sensors for enhanced feedback.

Keflezighi won the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Jose Half Marathon wearing a custom Skechers GOrun racing shoe last month. He has also provided feedback to the design team.

“Our advanced concepts team invested three years of research working with runners like Keflezighi to design a shoe that ensures a mid-foot strike and elevates the minimal and natural running experience,” says Leonard Armato, president of Skechers Fitness Group. “While Skechers GOrun is extremely flexible,

responsive, lightweight and low to the ground like other minimalistic footwear, our GOimpulse sensor technology allows this shoe to have just enough Resalyte cushion for added protection against impact on any surface.
