Sanrio Establishes Children's Hospital Charity

In October 2010, Sanrio established the Sanrio Foundation to help children in hospitals around the world. The foundation sends a Hello Kitty mascot and other Sanrio characters to hospitals, where they interact with young patients, distribute small gifts, pose for pictures and celebrate birthdays.

In underprivileged countries, Sanrio Foundation supports hospitals by donating medical supplies. Sanrio Foundation has moved its first steps in 2010 by visiting the hospitals in Italy, Romania and Ukraine.
