MPC, a brand of Round 2, is rolling out its "Dark Shadows" plastic model kits, reproduced from the original tooling after 40 years out of production. The collectibles from the classic ABC series were last sold in 1969.

The kits will be available in hobby stores, with Barnabas arriving in August, the Werewolf in September and the Vampire Van in the fall. Models include a 1/8th scale vampire Barnabas Collins, and a 1/8th scale Werewolf and the 1/25th scale Vampire Van.

The release of the kits supports the new Dark Shadows movie, which is in production.

"The release of the Dark Shadows figures and the Vampire Van kit are long overdue for fans and collectors alike," says Tom Lowe, president and owner of Round 2. "We’re pleased to be able to bring these kits back from the original MPC tooling with the original packaging artwork. We know the fans of these kits and the TV show have been waiting for these kits to be available again, and we’re excited to bring them back in time for the new Dark Shadows movie."
