Rocket Licensing has been appointed by Geographers’ A-Z Map Company to license the U.K. map brand, A-Z, across multiple categories.
Discussions with potential licensees are already under way that include plans for a wide range of product licenses such as gift products, greeting cards, stationary, homewares, bags, apparel, games, smartphone apps and travel accessories.
“The decision to bring A-Z to market was not difficult; it has long been a design classic as well as a trusted source of reference,” says Steve Berger, joint managing director, Geographers’ A-Z Map Company. “However, finding a partner with the experience and ideas to make the most of A-Z was a key requirement. We are delighted to be working with Rocket who we know will fulfill the potential of this great British brand.”
A comprehensive style guide is in development that will not only draw on the mapping of A-Z guides, but also maps from past eras.
The first A-Z products are likely to appear at retail in time for the Christmas season.
