Turner CN Enterprises has acquired the licensing and merchandising rights for new television series "Puppy in My Pocket," a co-production between Mondo TV, ME (which created the original Puppy in My Pocket property) and Giochi Preziosi.
The property is aimed at girls, and Turner will broadcast the first series beginning September 2011 in more than 130 countries across EMEA. TCNE will act as licensing agent for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (excluding Italy, Spain and Greece), and the intention is for products to roll out in 2012.
Maria Rosaria Milone, commercial director of EMEA licensing for TCNE, comments: "The acquisition of Puppy in My Pocket is a significant development in our strategy to grow our business into new markets, and we are looking forward to working with great partners such as Mondo TV, Me and Giochi Preziosi. We'll be using Brand Licensing Europe to showcase our developing role as a third-party agent and to communicate how we will be using our boys' expertise to develop girls properties, preschool and lifestyle brands."
