Studio 100 has signed a series of new deals to bring Maya the Bee to food aisles across Europe on candy, ice cream and other dairy products.

Rio Licensing, Russian agent for the brand, has signed a deal with Russian confectionary company Perfetti Van Melle, owner of Chupa Chups.

Perfetti Van Melle will develop product under both the Chupa Chups and Fruit-tella brands that will feature Maya on lollipops, chocolate balls with surprises and frutos candies at major retailers in the country. Negotiations are underway to expand the partnership into other categories as well.

Belgian Ice Cream Group will introduce Maya ice cream in the CEE market in the second quarter of 2013. The Maya ice cream is already sold in Benelux, and the new deal will expand distribution into Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

Finally, Dairy4Fun has signed on as the dairy partner for Maya. Dairy4Fun plans to launch Maya dairy products in the beginning of 2013 in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Rumania, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Visibility of the Maya snack will be supported by an in-store point-of-purchase program and TV marketing campaign.
