Dartington and Bombki have been appointed to roll out collectibles for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Dartington will produce an extensive range of glass home and gift items including drinking glasses, paperweights and tokens, vases and bowls, photo frames, figurines and commemorative pieces. Products will be manufactured across their global supply base, including products from their Torrington facility in North Devon and Caithness Glass in Scotland. The first range of products will launch early 2011, featuring the London skyline, the Union Flag and mascots. Further ranges are planned throughout the year, including collectible products featuring a selection of the 55 unique Olympic and Paralympic sports designs and commemorative crystal pieces.

Meanwhile, Bombki will produce collectible handmade glass baubles and decorations. Their first range will be available this year. Products will be available through the London 2012 online store, its retail outlets at St Pancras International and Paddington stations, as well as at official venue merchandise outlets.

London 2012 now has its online store up and running, two dedicated retail shops at St Pancras International and Paddington stations, 37 licensees signed up and around 500 products available on the high street in time for Christmas.

"We welcome our latest licensees to the program—both are excellent examples of how smaller- and medium-sized companies across the U.K. are becoming part of London 2012," says Chris Townsend, London 2012's commercial director. "They, alongside our other licensees, will produce souvenirs and collectibles which will enable people to celebrate the Games, as well as contribute to the funding. We have had a fantastic reaction to our program from the retail industry to our plans and we look forward to seeing our plans come to fruition in the coming months."
