Licensing Works! Names Gildea to Exec Sales

Ex-Hasbro executive John Gildea has joined Licensing Works! in an executive sales capacity.

Gildea's career spans 17 years at Hasbro as vice president of licensing and consumer promotions, as well as senior vice president of new business development for its interactive division. He also spent five years at Cookie Jar Entertainment as vice president of consumer products.

"John is a seasoned and respected senior executive with more than 25 years in the management of intellectual property," says Leslie Levine, Licensing Works' founder. "He adds great depth to the Licensing Works! team and we look forward to having him on-board as we further expand our growing IP portfolio."

Licensing Works' properties include M.E.G. Toys' In My Pocket franchise, Visual Picnic's Playtime Buddies, Swicherz, Zorro, Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan, Moulin Rouge and Jesco Imports' Kewpie.
