ITV Appoints New Media SVP

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has appointed Dan Gopal as senior vice president/director of global digital media and home entertainment.

Reporting to Jean-Philippe Randisi, executive vice president of consumer products, Gopal will be responsible for overseeing ITVS GE’s global home entertainment business and will work with the DVD and TV sales team to maximize digital sales.

“Dan’s experience with broadcasters and digital platforms will be an asset in helping us to grow in an increasingly platform-agnostic landscape, in which the traditional divisions between physical and digital media, and TV and home entertainment, have become less relevant for consumers,” says Randisi.

Gopal joins ITVS GE from Miramax, where he was head of sales and operations for EMEA where he worked with the management team to establish Miramax’s European distribution business and operations following the acquisition of the company from Disney.
