H&M has partnered with costume designer Trish Summerville to create a Girl with the Dragon Tattoo women’s collection inspired by the film’s anti-heroine, Lisbeth Salander.

The 30-piece line includes leather jackets, trousers, torn jeans and hoodies, and debuted at the boutique Colette in Paris Nov. 28, with its own dedicated in-store area. The collection launches today in Divided departments in around 100 H&M stores worldwide, as well as online.

“Salander’s look is very real and very lived in, with pieces that her character has worn for a long time, like her jackets that act as her armour to shield her from the world," says Trish Summerville, costume designer for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. "I wanted the collection to have the essence and strength of Salander, with a fashion edge, and I’m pleased with the result! My goal is for women to find pieces in it that they love and then mix them with their own wardrobe to create their own personal style,”

“I love this collection and what we’ve achieved with Trish," says Anna Norling, designer for Divided at H&M. "She has such an amazing eye, is so specific and has such a strong vision. The clothes are all about the attitude - they have a toughness to them but they are also really flattering. The collection is so much more than costume--it’s a fashion statement, it’s modern, and it’s right for now.”
