Disney Consumer Products saw numerous changes in 2011.

In September, Andy Mooney resigned from DCP after more than 10 years of service. Soon thereafter, Robert Chapek, former president of distribution for The Walt Disney Studios, was named Mooney’s successor. Chapek was charged with overseeing a newly formed company-wide consumer products re-organization, which consolidated retail and licensing across Disney’s lines of business including The Walt Disney Studios, Pixar, Marvel, Media Networks, Interactive Media and Consumer Products.

Then in November, DCP named Josh Silverman executive vice president of global licensing for Disney and Marvel. Silverman moved over to DCP from his role as senior vice president of global strategy, business development and brand management for Marvel Entertainment.
