On the heels of Andrew Kerr's departure from Classic Media as executive vice president of international marketing and consumer products, the entertainment company has promoted Nicole Blake to fill his role. Kerr is exiting the company to start up a new venture.

"It's been a tremendously rewarding 2+ years at Classic Media," says Kerr. "The company's portfolio is poised for real success in the months and years to come, with Postman Pat, Guess with Jess and Tinga Tinga Tales enjoying a terrific reception in the marketplace and some of the best licensing partners in the business. While I'll miss working day to day with the great people at Classic, I am excited to move forward with my own venture."

Meanwhile, other Classic Media staff have had their responsibilities increased. Claire Shaw, vice president of consumer products and retail, will be charged with expanding all licensing, retail development and promotional activity in the U.K. And, Mat Way, vice president of consumer products and live entertainment, adds international consumer products initiatives to his role.

"We're disappointed to see Andrew leave, but we look forward to maintaining an ongoing relationship with him," says Eric Ellenbogen, co-chief executive officer of Classic Media. "Since joining the company three years ago, Nicole Blake has demonstrated her expertise as a brand marketer and done a fantastic job in growing the North American consumer products business. I'm fully confident that our London team, working with Nicole, will continue to drive growth in our business globally."
