Big Idea Entertainment is expanding their base of licensee partners for its VeggieTales brand as it gears up for the brand’s 20th anniversary.

The company has recently inked deals with several new licensing partners across key categories, including book apps from Rukus Media Group, educational and game apps from Weeblets, video eGreetings from ReelCards, game apps from Thruster, book apps from ScollMotion, phone and e-mail greetings from GreetLink, novelty format books from Ideals Publications and customized stickers from StickerYou.

The new VeggieTales program will hit retail this fall, in advance of the kick-off of the brand’s 20th anniversary in December, and will continue new product releases in spring 2013.

“It’s an exciting time at Big Idea Entertainment and we are looking forward to launching the VeggieTales 20th Anniversary celebration,” says Brian Mitchell, vice president of licensing, Big Idea Entertainment. “This celebration is really about our fans as we continue to develop top-notch products that have popular appeal with children and families.”

The new licensees join premium VeggieTales partners, which include ConAgra (fruit snacks), DaySpring/Hallmark (greeting cards and calendars), Bendon Publishing (coloring and activity books), Enesco (gifts from Gregg Gift and plush toys from Gund), The Orb Factory (crafts and activities), Frankford Candy & Chocolate (seasonal confections), Zondervan/Harper-Collins (storybooks, early reading books) and Masterpiece Flower Company (live plant containers).

Big Idea is still seeking partners in the food and beverages, health and beauty, apparel, school supplies, party supplies, electronics and game and book apps categories.

The VeggieTales 20th anniversary celebration will kick off in June 2013 with a Friends & Family Cruise. The cruise will feature the “VeggieTales Live!” show, a new episode screening and character breakfasts. Several special DVD releases and re-releases of collector’s editions of DVDs and CD titles are also planned for the coming months.
