Performance Brands, Oxford’s European licensing agent, brokered the collaboration.
“The collaboration with Punch and Lonsdale presents a great opportunity for the Oxford brand to enter the German market,” says Chris Evans, managing director, Oxford Limited.
The first collection will launch in Germany in spring/summer 2015 and feature both brands as well as the crests of some of Oxford’s sports clubs.
“I was attracted by the heritage of Oxford University and its rich traditions in both in scholarship and sport,” says Geurt Schotsman, managing director, Punch. “I think the excellence of the university will be reflected in the garments we produce, enhancing their appeal to potential buyers.”
