Artist René Magritte Inspires Delvaux Leather Goods

Handbag and accessories maker Delvaux continues its partnership with the Magritte foundation by launching a new line of bags inspired by René Magritte’s work.

The collection is designed to capture the surrealist artist’s spirit and whimsy. It will include full-size handbags, wallets, luggage bags and pouches as part of the line.

“A bag can feature artwork, but it’s still a bag at the end of the day,” says Jean-Marc Loubier, chairman and chief executive officer, Delvaux. “So, we wanted these pieces to be welcoming: Magritte, as applied through Delvaux, pushes the wearer forward in a way that is comfortable and that inspires curiosity.”
