'Annoying Orange' Gets Posters, Calendars

The Collective has cut new deals for the fruity stars of “Annoying Orange,” in a series of partnerships brokered by The Joester Loria Group.

Calendar Holdings has signed on for a line of 2013 calendars and Scorpio Posters will create a variety of “Annoying Orange” posters.

The line from Scorpio Posters will include a range of sizes and formats available at Toys ‘R’ Us, Spencer’s and HotTopic.com, as well as other specialty retailers within the next few months.

“We’re thrilled to be working with ‘Annoying Orange’ at this very exciting time for the brand when the TV series is taking off and the fan base continues to expand,” says Brian Edmiston, vice president licensing, Scorpio Posters. “Now ‘Annoying Orange’ devotees will be able to deck out their dorm rooms and bedrooms with the new line of posters.”

Calendar Holdings will launch its line of 2013 Annoying Orange calendars this fall at Go! Calendars mall stores and other specialty retailers, as well as on their website.

The new calendar and poster lines join a burgeoning licensing program for the brand, which includes talking plush, clip-ons and collectible figures from The Bridge Direct; apparel and accessories for young men, juniors, boys and girls from Hybrid Apparel and Accessory Innovations; costumes from Rubies Costume Company (available this fall); and electronic accessories from Sakar (available for the holiday season).

“Annoying Orange” took the Internet by storm when it debuted on YouTube in October 2009. The web series has since racked up more than one billion total views, and a new spin-off TV series recently began airing on Cartoon Network.
