Handbag company, Olympia Le-Tan, has released a collaboration with renowned French illustrator, Soledad Bravi. Known for her creations for ELLE, Chanel, Colette and Le Bon Marché, the collaboration of minaudières symbolizes the love of Paris and the life of Parisians.
The collection celebrates iconic moments, from Parisian café-croissants in the morning to partying until the night’s end. Each clutch tells a unique story, distinguished by playful details, meticulous embroidery and vibrant colors, embodying the joyful and playful spirit that characterizes Bravi’s designs, with in particular a “two in one” bag that depicts on the front a wild evening (Saturday disco), and at the back the coffee the next day (Sunday hangover). The collection also leaves much room for indulgence, with designs representing cakes, candies and macaroons.
“I am delighted to be part of this collection of bag books,” says Bravi. “I have always found this concept very poetic: taking the most beautiful covers of the great classics of literature and having them on your bag, a refined bag that gives a little intellectual side. It’s fun to see my embroidered illustrations because they’re not quite like my drawings; they change them, give them volume and become different ... and it’s charming to see all the seams. The result is quite magical.”
The collection’s official launch will take place on March 14 at the Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, during a private event organized by Muse Society, which offers a series of women-driven events to promote kindness, solidarity and mutual aid between women. At the event, guests will preview the unique creations at one of the most emblematic hotels in Paris.
The Soledad x Olympia Le-Tan collection will be available in limited edition on Olympialetan.com and via international retailers Moda Operandi, Shopbop, Neiman Marcus, Moksyz and more.
