During New York Fashion Week in September, design house, Fendi, presented a special runway show to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Baguette bag. Now Fendi has teamed with jeweler, Tiffany & Co., to create a one-of-a-kind piece in sterling silver.

The collaboration is part of Fendi's ambitious 'hand in hand' initiative to celebrate local artisans whose expert craft transforms the Baguette into a full-fledged objet d'art.

Weighing 5.2 pounds (2,356 grams), the piece is engraved with a floral pattern of lilies (the national flower of Italy) and roses (the official flower of New York State). Made using a traditional silversmithing technique called chasing, the piece is an homage to Fendi's bag and Tiffany & Co.'s craftsmanship. Created by the American jeweler's Makers at its workshop, the bag was crafted for more than four months (or 250 hours).

This one-of-a-kind jewelry creation is joined by a dedicated capsule collection of Tiffany Baguette bags in leather, diamonds and silk satin, evoking the Tiffany Blue Box.
