Playtech Buys Funtactix

Playtech, an Omni-channel gaming software and services provider, has completed the acquisition of Funtactix, a publisher of film and television-based games.

The acquisition will form a central pillar of Playtech’s long-term casual games strategy and will allow the company to increase its market share of the IP-based casual games market.

Meanwhile, the Funtactix team will continue to facilitate partnerships with entertainment property owners as well as publish in-house and externally developed titles under the FTX Games publishing division.
