Random House Children’s Books has appointed Rachel Bader as its new licensing director.

In her new role, Bader will build and manage a consumer products licensing business for Random House through consumer licensing partnerships across multiple categories in the U.S. and Canada.

She will also be responsible for exploring retail partnerships for non-book products, as well as licensing to manufacturers in appropriate categories.

Bader will initially focus on the Everything I Need to Know Little Golden Books program, Schwartz & Wade’s character Rocket and Emily Martin’s picture books.

Prior to joining Random House, Bader was the director of licensing for Prometheus Global Media, where she managed the licensing and promotional businesses for Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter. She has also served as director of licensing for Condé Nast, Guinness World Records, Chorion Silver Lining and Scholastic.
