Publishing brand Popular Mechanics has partnered with Groovy Lab in a Box to create a series of branded educational kits for children.

Available as a subscription service, the new kits will aim to teach children about science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Each box will also feature an engineering challenge and all the materials needed to complete the project including a lab notebook where kids can read about the task and related STEM topics as well as record their findings.

The first Popular Mechanics box–What’s the Matter–will include a project about the scientific properties of ice and will allow kids to design the lighting of an ice hotel and build a portable lantern out of ice.

The Popular Mechanics subscription STEM boxes are now available at GroovyLabinaBox.com.
