It’s been nearly 54 years since Jimi Hendrix lit his Fender Stratocaster guitar on fire at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, and Kollectico is honoring the moment with a new limited-edition, 5.5-inch-high keepsake collectible bobblehead.
The officially licensed bobbleheads of Jimi Hendrix LIVE at Monterey are hand-sculpted, 100% hand-painted and packaged in collector boxes. Kollectico will make a run of 1,967 figures worldwide, each individually numbered.
“Collector’s items are a form of admiration for a beloved artist or person of interest. They can even represent a special bond. We want those who are devoted to Jimi to have something delightful to add life to the spaces where they live and work,” says Janie Hendrix, president and chief executive officer, Experience & Authentic Hendrix. “Kollectico has created a beautifully artistic and endearing line that we can all enjoy. Jimi was fun-loving. This is a lighthearted way to appreciate him,”
“We couldn’t be more excited about this partnership,” says Andrew S. Hazen, founder and chief executive officer, Kollectico. “Jimi Hendrix has always been a huge source of inspiration for me these past 40 something years. With such extraordinary imagery in his portfolio, this is an opportunity for us to use our creativity to honor Jimi Hendrix with exceptional limited-edition collectibles for Hendrix fans around the globe.”
Jimi Hendrix bobbleheads are available for pre-order online at BobbleheadBoss.com and JimiHendrixBobbleheads.com.
