The Toy Industry Association has elected eight new members to the TIA Board of Directors for two-year terms during its Annual General Meeting in Miami, Fla.
The meeting also saw David Hargreaves of Hasbro take over the role of chairman from retiring board chairman John Gessert of American Plastic Toys.
Nominated to serve their first terms on the board were:
Kathleen Campisano, vice president, toys and games, Barnes & Noble;
Jennifer Caveza, senior vice president, toys and business development, Nickelodeon Consumer Products;
Charlie Emby, co-president, Just Play;
Barbara Finigan, senior vice president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary, Hasbro,;
Skip Kodak, senior vice president, Americas, LEGO Systems;
Masayuki Nagatake, chief operating officer, U.S. and Europe, business division, TOMY International;
Geoffrey Walker, executive vice president, Nnorth America, Mattel;
Nancy Zwiers, chief marketing officer, Spin Master.
The executive committee also saw shifts and will now include Bob Wann (Playmonster!) as vice chairman/chairman elect, Shirley Price (Funrise) as secretary-treasurer, Manuel Torres (NBCUniversal Brand Development) and Geoffrey Walker (Mattel).
Meanwhile, Drew Brazer, vice president, sales, North America, LEGO Systems; Jeffrey Kennis, president, Enchanted Moments; and William To, president, VTech Electronics North America, were elected for another term.
