“Nina and Other Little Things,” represented by Italian licensing agency DIC 2, has chosen Rainbow as licensing agent for the remainder of Europe.
“I’m very pleased with this new agreement,” says Douglas Mari, sole director, DIC 2. “Because Rainbow’s experience will allow a more widespread diffusion of Nina and lay the groundwork for the development of an audiovisual production to be able to cover also younger age targets.”
The licensing program is already a go in Italy, with collections of stationery, homeware, gift items and books distributed by Fnac, Feltrinelli, Mondadori, Colette, Galeries La Fayette and in the shops of Pompidou Museum in Paris, La Triennale in Milan, Palazzo Te in Mantua, Palazzo Madama in Turin and many others.
Rainbow will be responsible for expanding the reach of the brand on the continent to explore the potential of the brand and the character, developing partnerships for all product categories. The licensing team of the group founded by Iginio Straffi boasts more than 20 years of experience in the sector and worldwide success with proprietary brands such as “Winx Club” and “44 Cats.” It will support Nina’s expansion with focus on the international market and innovation, which will further enhance Nina’s style.
“Rainbow is thrilled to start working with Nina and DIC 2,” says Cristiana Buzzelli, senior vice president, content and licensing, Rainbow Group. “The brand has great potential, and its values are contemporary, positive, versatile. We will be happy to provide our expertise to increase the brand awareness of Nina’s character throughout Europe in the lifestyle world and beyond.”
