London Studio Revs Ignition

Ignition Licensing has been appointed to represent designer Soula Zavacopoulos’ The London Studio, a collection of contemporary card designs.

Established in 2009, The London Studio specializes in humorous greetings cards, now carried in more than 500 retailers.

“Soula’s designs are fresh, funny and trend setting,” says Maggy Harris, licensing manager and founder, Ignition. “I love working with such an inspirational young design entrepreneur and look forward to licensing her designs across complementary gift, stationery, book and apparel categories.”

Brown Trout has already signed on for a stationery line for 2013, with plans for an expanded social expressions range set for 2014. Proposals are also on the table for mobile and Facebook apps and giftware.

“Buyers have been asking me for some time if there are other products available for our most popular ranges,” says Soula Zavacopoulos, director and founder, The London Studio. “Expanding our top-selling ranges such as The Wisdom of Kids and Say it Loud is a natural progression for us in the U.K. and U.S.”
