Andrew Smith has been promoted to senior vice president, deputy publisher, executive director of new business development.

In his expanded role, Smith will focus on growing Little, Brown Books for Young Readers’ licensed publishing program, expanding the digital program, overseeing IP initiatives, developing proprietary publishing projects, exploring corporate acquisitions and strategic partnerships and maximizing international joint publishing opportunities.

He will also continue to work closely with Megan Tingley, executive vice president and publisher, Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, to manage and grow the list, and the marketing and publicity teams will continue to report to him.

“In the seven years since he joined Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, the publishing landscape has changed dramatically and Andrew has been a vital and visionary force in developing strategies for success and growth across editorial, design, marketing, publicity, subsidiary rights and sales,” says Tingley.
