The Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association is hosting a webinar May 1 to provide insight into international IP law.
Hosted by Michelle Lewiston and Louise McAdam from the London-based law firm Speechly Bircham, the webinar will highlight the key differences between the European and U.S. licensing systems.
Attendees will also get insight into matters that need extra attention during the negotiation and conclusion of IP licenses.
“The Legal Side of Licensing: What Americans Need to Know About Europe, and Vice Versa” is part of LIMA’s year-round webinar series designed to help licensing professionals improve their business knowledge and skills.
“Keeping up-to-date with global developments in the fast-moving arena of international IP law is a constant challenge for business professionals. That’s why we’re delighted to have been asked by LIMA to present this webinar highlighting the differing scenarios that exist with regard to negotiating IP licenses in Europe and the U.S.,” says Lewiston.
The online event will take place May 1 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. GMT (Noon to 1:30 p.m. EDT) and is free for current LIMA members or $200 for non-members.
