April 30, 2019
New licensing agreements include Crème D’Or (confections) and Penny Kennedy (gift wraps and bags).
Founded by Emily Coxhead, the newspaper covers optimistic and uplifting stories from around the world that are aimed at bringing the mental health conversation to the forefront. Coxhead has previously parlayed Happy News into a column in teen magazine Shout as well into various brand licensing deals.
“It is a very exciting time for this inspiring property especially with the elevation of both Emily’s and The Happy News’ profiles,” says Alicia Davenport, licensing director, DRi. “The Happy News brand established itself at retail during 2018, and with many new exciting product lines coming through 2019 certainly promises to be another exceptional year for this heart-warming and on-trend brand.”
The Happy News licensing deals follow previous partnerships with brands including Blueprint Collections (stationery), Moonpig (greeting cards) and Penguin Random House (a creative journal).
