The Comcast Corporation has announced that it is considering an offer for the portion of the business that Fox has prepared to sell to Disney, which does not include the Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, Fox Broadcasting Company and other certain assets.

Any offer made by Comcast would be all-cash and at a premium to the value of the current all-share offer from Disney, according to a company statement.

No financial decision has been made at this time; however, Comcast is working to finance the all-cash offering and to make the necessary regulatory filings.

The Walt Disney Company and Twenty-First Century Fox have already filed paperwork with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission concerning the sale of Fox’s assets.
