Classic Media has announced a full line-up of new consumer products partners for its children’s property, Olivia, which will encompass the toy, publishing and digital categories.
Classic Media’s Olivia program is anchored by master publisher Simon & Schuster who will add to its growing catalog of Olivia titles with Olivia and the Fairy Princesses, set to be released this fall. Thirteen additional new tie-in titles and 10 e-books are slated to be released throughout the year.
New publishing partners complementing Simon & Schuster’s Olivia program include Dalmatian Press, rolling out a range of big crayon books, sticker books, floor activity books and fun pads; Chronicle Books, launching a series of Olivia novelty formats including a cookbook with cookie cutters, a paper doll play-set and flashcards; educational publisher Publications International will introduce Sound & Look and Find books.
Just Play has signed on as master toy partner and will release plush and role play products this fall, with figures and playsets following in spring 2013. The fall line will include plush beanies, a bedtime plush that plays music, fancy dress-up shoes, a tiara and a dress assortment.
Also this fall, LeapFrog will launch an Olivia learning game for LeapPad and Leapster Explorer. The game will engage children in Olivia’s world while teaching early math concepts and logic.
“We are thrilled to have such top-notch partners on board as we continue to expand Olivia’s adventures into new consumer products categories,” says Karyn Schneider, vice president, licensing, Classic Media. “Olivia is a little pig with big personality, and the products rolling out this fall will further enhance her already strong retail presence.”
Ian Falconer's children's book Olivia was first published in 2000 by Simon & Schuster. To date, more than 8 million Olivia books have been sold worldwide. The “Olivia” television series first aired in 2009 and is currently broadcast on Nick Jr. in the U.S., Milkshake! and Nick Jr. in the U.K. and Ireland, Disney Junior in Latin America and Treehouse TV in Canada.
Classic Media will present Olivia at Licensing Expo in Booth 7146 this Tuesday through Thursday in Las Vegas, Nev.
