Gröger and his team will work to expand the portfolio of local clients, which includes Warner Bros. and Square Enix. The team will also work with London to enhance access into European markets for Bridge brands Danone Waters and Visa.

Gröger joins Bridge from Sony Pictures Germany, where he served as head of partnership campaigns, overseeing partnerships such as Angry Birds and Citroen, and James Bond Spectre and Heineken. “I’m delighted to be part of Bridge’s expansion into Europe,” says Gröger. “Our unique use of technology enables us to identify original and groundbreaking brand partnerships, and I know there is a huge appetite for this new approach among German clients.”

“Berlin is such a vibrant city with strong creative and tech industries, all underpinned by an incredible entrepreneurial spirit, so it’s an obvious choice to be the home of our first European office,” says Richard Barnes, chief executive officer, Bridge. “David was the only choice to lead the business. His combination of talent and experience is unmatched in the sector, and we’re incredibly excited to work with him to enhance our offering through our new home on the continent.”
